Recently, the Department Chairman, Arch. Peter Njeru was featured on Oracle Academy’s member success Grid.
In a spotlight, the Chairman of the Department shares how the department has undertaken a significant step in its curriculum by integrating Oracle Primavera P6 into teaching courses on construction management, Civil engineering, project planning, cost control, and more.
Under his leadership, the department aims to make Primavera a widespread and integral part of the curriculum, aligning with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) teaching approach. Lecturers and students benefit from the latest project management enhancements, creating a dynamic and relevant learning environment.
Arch. Peter Njeru emphasizes the importance of getting lecturers and students up to speed, with eight academic staff members undergoing Oracle Academy training. Beyond faculty, he envisions 100% of students being proficient in Primavera, facilitating early exposure and mastery of project management software.
